SAP EWM – Handling Unit – Identification Number

HU identification number in EWM can be used during Packing where you want to maintain/ track the HU in WH using external HU number send by vendor or track all the HU receive against same vendor by providing Vendor Identification number in HU identification field. This can be achieved by maintain HU identification number in reference to Identification type.

This concept can also be use where you want to maintain HU with characteristics like age, size, color   etc., where the different HU identification type can be added and use.
