Add Field Value From S4 HANA Payload In SAP PO REST URL JSON format

Our goal is to enable the sending of field values from the source payload in JSON format through a REST URL. We recently encountered a specific requirement where our client needed to send certain fields’ values from S4HANA in JSON format through the REST URL to a third party. Our expertise in configuring the REST Channel allowed us to tackle this request seamlessly, providing our client with an optimal solution.

By utilizing the REST adapter’s URL Pattern Variable Substitution, this task can be accomplished with ease.

Once you’ve completed this step, make sure to utilize the REST adapter Modules “EncodeURL” and “EncodeURLPath” by setting their values to “true”.

Afterwards, go ahead and test the interface and take a look at the URL generated in the logs.
